Jesus’ main mission, for which he had to die

The first that comes to our mind is love. He taught us that love is the most important thing of all, that we are all brothers and sisters in this world irrespective of creed, “race”, sex, culture and so on. And irrespective of the social stand. This is the main proofing stone for the one who calls himself a Christian. If he is able to live this love, does not seek revenge, knows no hate, no violence, and is able to love even those who consider themselves to be his enemies, but himself sees an enemy in no one, than he can really call himself a Christian. How many can pass this test? Probably only a handful of all those that call themselves Christians…

However, there is still another and more important mission, with which Jesus came into our world as a messenger of Christ. A mission that even to day will by a great majority seem controversial, and yet is was this mission, for which he was killed. No one would imagine that he was killed for teaching love, but it must be for something else that the powers of the world wanted him dead.

We can learn about it from the Bible, if only we have eyes to read and ears to hear and are prepared to accept this mission. We also learn from it from the first big Christian movement that the world ever had, the Gnostic Christians.

In the Bible, we have the testimony about this mission in John 8:

8:31 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

8:37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”

About whom does Jesus speak in these words: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it”? And who is the one he calls “Father”? There will be only one meaningful way to understand these words: The “father the devil” is YHWH! And Jesus’ father is a God higher than YHWH, the true original prime creator God, in whose creation YHWH is a lower-level entity that makes believe that he is the only god.

These words about YHWH are based upon facts in the Old Testament.

Jesus was born into a people that had been led out of Egypt to the “promised land” by YHWH through Moses. When they after a long wandering in Sinai finally reached that land, they to their disappointment discovered that it was not free. People already lived there in towns. Therefore YHWH ordered them to kill each and every one living there, sparing not a child, a woman nor an old man, so that they could be given “great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full” (Deut 6:10-11). Thus, a true holocaust began, in which they attacked one town after the other and left no one alive, as vividly described on the bloody pages of Joshua and Judges and other books in the Bible. After this complete genocide, they finally had stolen the land from the original inhabitants to have it for themselves. Is that a loving and peaceful God like the one Jesus calls his “Father”? This bloodthirsty, revengeful, hating, severely punishing and threatening “god”? That, of course, cannot be!

Here is but a choice, yet a big one, of all the abominable cruelties committed in the name of YHWH, with his consent, or even ordered by him: A choice of the many cruelties in the Bible. There is still more of that in the Old Testament of the Bible. How can we accept such a murderous and lying entity as a “god”?

Is it not it obvious that YHWH, who ruled the people of that land and to day rules still much more of the world also through the Churches that have adopted him to be their god, thereby disqualifies himself? When he says “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Ex 20:3), does that mean that there are no other gods, or does it mean a competition clause: “There are other gods, but I shall be your only god and you shall have nothing to do with them”?

On the logic of this statement by YHWH
If YHWH would be the prime and original creator, other gods would be created by him, and he would obviously have nothing against devotion to them. If he has something against that, they are not his creations and hence must be created by another creator, who obviously would have to be higher than YHWH. Therefore, YHWH is also created by that prime creator.

It is interesting that research in the history of religion of the later decennia has revealed that in the pre-Hebrew religion there was one highest God, ’El ‘Elyon, who had 70 sons, and that one of them was YHWH*. YHWH even had a goddess at his side, ’Asherah, who in the later developments of the Bible texts disappeared out of them in their interpretations and thus became obscured, as if divorced from YHWH, but is still mentioned around 40 times in the Hebrew text. Yet the name is translated as tree or grove, since her symbol is a tree or upright wooden pole (in certain cases the word in the Bible refers rather to that symbol than to the goddess herself).

Therefore, ’El ‘Elyon might be the “Father” Jesus referred to, but it could also be another one largely unknown to humanity. In any case, an entity higher than YHWH. Moreover, beyond doubt a loving and peaceful God, a real God.

This is also demonstrated by the first sentence in the Bible that, correctly translated, reads as follows (linguistic explanations are given in the links below): “The original creator created the gods, the cosmic worlds and the earth.” This translation is kept secret to us and became altered to due to the hypocritical influence of YHWH, who is one of the created gods.

Since Jesus began to tell such “dangerous” secrets to the people, it is obvious that it was YHWH that wanted him killed to put an end to such forbidden revelation that had to do with “eating from the tree of wisdom”. When in the Bible YHWH forbade to eat from the “tree of knowledge” – more correctly  translated “tree of wisdom” – it means that he forbade to seek forbidden knowledge. (That to eat from that tree has nothing to do with sexuality is obvious, since 1. Eve was not yet created when YHWH forbade Adam to eat from the tree and, therefore, sexuality was not a possible issue, and 2. Eve first ate from the tree alone and found it tasty, so he gave the “fruit” to Adam to eat, which he did. Sexuality is not done one after the other, but by two together. There are more contradictions to the much too popular misinterpretation as sexuality.)

Such knowledge about YHWH, that Jesus hinted on, would certainly be very much forbidden by YHWH… Through having Jesus killed, he hoped that these ideas would disappear among the people, but they did not. Instead his death gave more force to them.

The Gospel of Truth is a part of the Gnostic texts found in Nag Hammadi. A translation is found here: http://gnosis.org/naghamm/got.html.

Therein, the following is written: “For this reason error [YHWH] was angry with him [Jesus], so it persecuted him. It was distressed by him, so it made him powerless. He was nailed to a cross. He became a fruit of the knowledge of the Father. He did not, however, destroy them because they ate of it.”

What (or rather: who?) is here called the “error”. Ad why did I comment to it as [YHWH]? As can be seen in another Gnostic text, The Apocryphon of John (translation here: http://gnosis.org/naghamm/apocjn.html), an entity named Yaldabaoth (or Yaltabaoth) was erroneously created by a higher entity Sophia (the Wisdom). The text clearly shows that Yaldabaoth is YHWH.

And who is the “Father” mentioned in the text? He is “the invisible spirit” that has no name and cannot be understood, from which the whole creation came to be, on a lower level also YHWH.

There had been two circles around Jesus: an outer circle of people who did not come to be really close to him, but more or less appreciated what he spoke, and an inner circle of his disciples and other persons close to him. There were many things he did not say in public, that is in the outer circle. Instead, he said: “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:12). What he did not say in the outer circle, he will beyond doubt have said in the inner circle, where he will have talked much extensively about YHWH. Out of the inner circle arose the first big Christian movement, the Gnostic Christianity, which, therefore, carried such things on that had not been spoken in the outer circle. “Gnostic” means “knowing”. That form of Christianity was more profound and knew more than the later and more superficial Paulinian Christianity that lacked much of these deeper insights. The Gnostic Christians had a different world concept than the Paulinian one and another creation story.

This creation story is discussed here: Is Yahweh an Annunaku? and a compilation of quotations from Gnostic Texts about Yaldabaoth, which is the Gnostic name of YHWH, is found here: Yaldabaoth in the Gnostic Texts.

Since the Gnostic Christians carried this mission of Jesus on, the mission to make people aware of the fact that YHWH is not the true god, it is obvious that YHWH wanted to get rid also of the Gnostic Christians. For that purpose, he had the clever strategy to make a “Christianity” of his own that would satisfy his own interest and replace the Gnostic Christianity. So he did and gradually, by means of various dirty and bloody political acts, especially by Constantine, the Gnostic Christianity disappeared from the scene and became regarded as heresy. In the new “Christianity”, the true Christ was replaced by a fake Christ and at the end we had a Church that served not the true Christ, but the interests of YHWH. Later, Gnostic Christianity appeared anew through the Cathars, who were all bloodily slaughtered by the Church in a veritable genocide in the 13th century. However, the texts of the Gnostic Christians, which had been destroyed, were found anew in Nag Hammadi in Egypt in 1945 (except some texts that have been lost). Thus the knowledge of the Gnostic Christians came forward anew and the interest in and popularity of the Gnostic Christianity began to spread in the world, much to the annoyance of the Churches.

Therefore, to day we again have access to this fundamental Christian knowledge, and also to the Gnostic Christian knowledge about who YHWH really is, much to his annoyance…

Here I have gathered information about YHWH from writings by scholars in the history of religion: About YHWH.

I recommend the very good book Yahweh Unmasked by David Cangá Corozo, available here:  http://www.amazon.com/YAHWEH-UNMASKED-UNMASHED-Book-ebook/dp/B00CQFVMRW and http://www.preparemonosparaelcambio.com/2010/03/desenmascarando-yahve.html (original in Spanish).

How to become free from the influence of YHWH

Visualize cutting and burning all ties between him and you.

Decide that you belong to the true Christ (and not the fake Christ of the Churches).

Pray and visualize that you, therefore, are protected by him and his angels.

Try to have a forgiving attitude towards YHWH.
